Oversized scrapbook, 1911-1927, includes: black and white photographs, club letters, and newspaper clippings of club members, including men, women, and children, preparing to fly in a Wright biplane. Miss Josephine Alger at 14 years of age in 1911 was the first woman to be flown in Michigan in a biplane. Among the happy, prominent Grosse Pointers recorded as being present were: Mrs. F.E. Wadsworth, Mrs. Mary Mannering Wadsworth, Miss Helen Wadsworth, Mrs. Gardner Reid, Mrs. E.F. Atland, Miss Virginia Brush, Mrs. Jarvis, Miss Josephine Alger, Mrs. Fred M. Alger, Mrs. Russell A. Alger, Jr., Miss Elizabeth Loomis, Mrs. E.S. Barbour, Walter B. Ford, Frederick M. Alger, Edwin S. George, Henry L. Lyster, and Alvan McCauly.
